Inside Disney — Best Workplaces In Singapore

A conducive work environment is wonderful to promote the creativity and productivity of staff. Having worked with Disney for a number of years, I was happy to receive an invitation to tour their local office in Singapore. Come check out the Disney SG office with us.

Even the address: Sandcrawler at 1 Fusionopolis View sounded so very Sci-fi and I was almost as excited as my first trip to Hong Kong Disneyland.

The Sandcrawler houses Lucas Film’s Singapore facility. It is named after the classic Star Wars transport that inspired the design of the building. The Sandcrawler is a state of the art building centrally located at Fusionopolis and has eight floors of office space, retail shopping, and a 100-seat theater; lush gardens, trees, and dense foliage accent its modern exterior. This is what the Sandcrawler looks like from the outside. I will share here I took a pic of this from later in the post.

As with most corporate security these days, you have to exchange your ID for a pass to enter the building. This is the common lobby that will take me to the sixth floor to Disney’s office.

And this is the lobby looked like on my arrival on the 6th level. The Cool quotient is unmeasurable to arrive at what looks like a different dimension.

Even cooler is that the first icon who greeted me is IRONMAN!! Ok, so I know this is not Tony Stark or Robert Downey Jr. in person, but it is still Ironman, man!! I really would have LOVED to pose with Ironman, but in the spirit of professionalism, I refrained.

You cannot go to the Disney office and not meet the Star of the entire franchise — Mickey Mouse! And it was a Wizard Mickey that I met. How enchanting!

Then, we went to the pantry to have coffee where I met my daughter’s favourite characters, Sofia The First, Doc McStuffins and Jake and the Neverland Pirates. I will so love to have brought her to the office. It will be her personal Disneyland. But for now, I get to take pictures to show it to her.

Having left the Disney office, I was not ready to leave yet. My last stop was to head down to the garden to see a wise, very old man.

It is here at this bench that I took the photo of the Sandcrawler.  What an awesome visit this has been. Thank you Georgina for hosting this coffee date.

Drop me a line in the comment below if you know of any other offices in Singapore that is a great or cool place to work in?

    Dear Meiling,

thank you for this comprehensive update.
I am an educator and would like to arrange for a school educational site visit in line with Education and Career Guidance. I would like to check if you may help me out by providing me with some guidance on how I can appeal for a site visit.

Thanks and I look forward to hearing from you.

    Angela
