Parenting Hacks You Need

Being a mom is a full-time job, and learning how to juggle work and parenting can be really draining.

Life Hack

Thankfully, some parents have figured out a few tricks of the trade that have kept their kids happy and us adults sane. Here are a few to get you started:

HANG a shoe or shower caddy from the passenger seat

If you’ve been on a road trip with your family, you know exactly what it’s like to have antsy children at the back, constantly asking, “Are we there yet?” There are only so many car games you can play with the kids while trying to navigate, and a shoe caddy filled with goodies, games and other entertainment is the perfect way to fight the boredom, whether you’re on a three-hour journey or driving to your neighborhood grocery store.

TEACH good money management skills early on

Too many adults these days are suffering from crippling debt, so the earlier that you teach kids how to save money for emergencies and whatnot, the better off they’ll be when they’re on their own, managing personal finances. A weekly allowance or paid chores will give them the freedom to spend the money however they like. From there, your kids will learn how to save up for toys or books at the store and survive on a certain amount of cash per week. How much you kids earn is entirely up to you, as there are children around the world who can surprisingly live on one euro a day, a daily cost which covers their education and basic health care.

USE a dotting system to identify your kids’ clothing

One child can be hard to keep up with, so imagine what it would be like to have a village of children in your home and keeping track of their clothes while sorting out laundry. A simple idea courtesy of Life Hack, all you have to do is mark one dot for your first child, two dots, for the second, three dots for the third, and so forth.
