Outdoor Polar Training Run – #RunToLiveGreat

Yesterday, I dragged myself out of bed to attend a training run organized by the Great Eastern Women’s Run.

The venue was outdoors at Ang Mo KioBishan Park. We were to meet at the area outside Grub restaurant (510 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 1, 569983). Bishan Ang Mo Kio Park is a beautiful place!

I did not realize that there were two sections of the park separated by a traffic junction. I wandered around looking for Grub and kept my eyes opened for any runners in red Great Eastern jersey.

I realized I was on the WRONG side of the park after 20 minutes of running after the wrong group of GE runners!

When I eventually did catch up with them, I had missed a lot of the training. Still, I had a lovely morning at the Bishan Ang Mo Kio Park. And the trainers were obliging in letting me join the tail end of the training run.

This is a great place to bring the kids for a run, to bike, scooter around or just to play in the playground (see photo below).

I love that there is a stream that your kids can wade in and watch the fish swim in.

Tired of running? Rest a little on these nice wooden benches.
