Imagination Playground @ Kaboodle Kids

You will be surprised at how much fun you can have with the “Big Blue Blocks”, and not just your kids but for us adults too! These “Big Blue Blocks” form the basis of an  Imagination Playground — a concept that is endorsed by the First Lady of United States, Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move! Initiative since 2013.

Kaboodle Kids is Singapore’s ONLY indoor playground that uses Imagination Playground exclusively.  An innovative playground that transforms any space into a play space, Imagination Playground encourages kids to learn through play.

Using the big blue blocks (hence its simple association), the Imagination Playground allows children the freedom to be inspired by their imagination. Your child architecture or engineer can choose to build a castle, a house, an igloo or a motorcycle or fountain. Or how about an alien or a river? Check out some of the structures built by children or the child minders below.

What about a fort to hide in? Or the illusion of a massive ocean? With 500 blocks Big Blue Blocks, your construction is only limited by your imagination. Plus, it makes for a great backdrop to take photos of your kids with.

One of my initial hesitation about Kaboodle Kids Singapore was that my kids had outgrown the indoor playground phase. However, with Imagination Playground, it is suitable for kids from 18 months to 11 years old. Made from materials similar to the pool foam but sturdier, the Big Blue Blocks are light weight and easy to carry. They also come in many assorted shapes and sizes.

Tan Mui Jin, the woman behind the business and a mother of three aged between five and thirteen, shares that her teenage daughter and her friends love to hang out at Kaboodle Kids. She wants the space and the big blue blocks to be vessels to encourage learning in kids and nurture their social, emotional, physical as well as cognitive development through play.

Located at Big Splash (902 East Coast Parkway, Block B, #02-05B, Singapore 449874), Kaboodle Kids is a fantastic place to go with the kids to escape from our tropical heat or torrential rain. If you are coming from the Northern or Western parts of Singapore, the East Coast Park and the beach is literally at its doorsteps. So it is worth the trek to check it out.

Parents planning a birthday party should ask about their Private Party Room! It is a little squeezy with the parents inside, but it is cosy for up to 20 kids. You little ones will have a blast building and creating at this party. Check out their party packages and venue rentals at this LINK.

You can also order food catered by Sunrise Bistro and Bar or Pondok Gurame Indonesian Restaurant. The latter catered our lunch when we visited Kaboodle Kids with the other parent bloggers. The food was fresh and delicious. The Satay was a definite hit, as were the fruits. Kaboodle Kids provide the juices and drinks as part of the package.
