Birthday Party – Ninja Gangnam Style

We didn’t think we could top last year’s Laser Tag birthday party for my son. But apparently, a party at NIGHT, in the dark, outdoors is just as appealing, if not more so for 8-year-old boys! And so the Ninja Party was born.

The party was held in the evening (6pm – 9pm). All the boys were sporting and most came in their Ninja outfits. We had Ninja Training by our Ninja Expert, “Itchy-Bum”-san.

As it grew darker into the night, we had party games and winners were rewarded with flashlights or other light accessories that will help them move stealthily in the dark (just like Ninjas).

Ninja Boys – All dressed in black, some even came with their own weapons!

All young Ninja warriors graduated with their own set of weaponry. Their joy is unbounded by their potential to wreak havoc with “deadly” weapons.

Everyone’s gotten into the Gangnam Style these days. So, we decided to jump on the bandwagon and have a little go at it too at our son’s Ninja birthday party.

These 8-year-old boys absolutely LOVE it and check out hubby in action too… 😉

If you haven’t seen the viral video that has created a furor in the pop scene with over 684 million views, WATCH THIS!

And if you’re wondering what “Kan-cheong” style the kids were referring to in the video, it is this local production:

After all that exercise, it was time to recharge with some cake and fireworks!

The party was a great success. How do we measure that? The boys were still talking about the Gangnam-Ninja party for weeks after!
