Featured In Social Media Week: Growing Up On Facebook

How much exposure is TOO MUCH?

This was the discussion focus in Growing Up On Facebook, one of a series of provoking topics discussed during the Social Media Week (SMW).

I was invited to participate as a panel speaker from a parent’s perspective – do we share too much information of our children online?

As a first-time panelist, I was excited to be in the same discussion group with the experts – Director of Consumer Business Terrance Tang for TREND Micro Singapore,  and Regional Planning Director Paul Gage from Iris Worldwide. I was also very keen to meet up with seasoned Daddy Blogger, Kelvin Ang of Cheekiemonkie fame. Our moderator was Felicia Chin, Editor-in-chief of Tickled Media.

I’ve documented the discussion on an earlier post, Hijacking Our Kids’ Private Life. And I have also uploaded the session – videoed in 3 parts for your viewing pleasure.

Let me know what you think – do you agree, disagree or have a different perspective on “sharenting”.
